Adrenaline and breathtaking views: record-breaking swing inaugurated in the Madonie Mountains
In the picturesque setting of the Madonie Mountains, in San Mauro Castelverde, in the province of Palermo,an unprecedented attraction was inaugurated: the highest swing in Europe. An imposing swing, the tallest on the continent, rises majestically through the forests, offering a spectacular view that extends far beyond the local borders.
With an inauguration celebrated by mayor Giuseppe Minutilla and the visionary creators of the structure, Giovanni Nicolosi and Guglielmo Speciale, San Mauro Castelverde is confirmed not only as a tourist destination of rare beauty, but also as a reference point in the world of adventure experiences in Europe.
The swing, which reaches a staggering height of 16 metres, is an architectural work of art masterfully set in the breathtaking landscape of the Madonie Mountains. This attraction was built on the edge of a steep and deep valley, stretching more than 300 metres below. The structure, with its impressive height, surpassed the previous record holder in Trentino Alto Adige by one metre. The swing in San Mauro Castelverde amazes, not only in height, but also in depth: it far surpasses the swing in Amsterdam with its 100 metres.
Those brave enough to climb the swing will be amply rewarded with a breathtaking view. From the swing, it will be possible to admire the landscape of the Madonie, with its majestic peaks, stretching as far as the imposing Nebrodi mountains. But the beauty of the scenery does not stop there! In front of the sea horizon, enchanting scenery opens up, with views of the fascinating Aeolian Islands and the enchanting Ustica.
