We offer you a walk through the wonders of the historic centre and the delicacies of Palermo's street food, observing places, products, colours and characters that are often timeless. During the tour, we will stop at the Capo market for a street food tasting (panelle, crocché, sfincione and arancina) and conclude the tour with a small cannolo. Walking through the centre of Palermo is like visiting an open-air museum, where different eras and architectural styles blend together, but also where churches and buildings from the Arab and Norman periods, Baroque and Art Nouveau tell stories of kings and queens, kingdoms and ancient dominations. During the walk through the historic centre, which lasts about 3 hours, you can browse inside the Mercato del Capo, a true distillation of culture, customs and gastronomic tradition, eat street food while sitting comfortably and listening to stories and legends about Palermo's food, and finally appreciate the authentic artistic treasures and monumental beauty of Palermo (the Teatro Massimo, the Cathedral and the Quattro Canti), and walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient Cassaro. The wealth of Palermo's artistic treasures is matched by the richness of its gastronomy and street food. The walk will also be an opportunity to taste some of Palermo's street food specialities: “sfincione” (brioche dough topped with onion, caciocavallo cheese, breadcrumbs, tomatoes and oregano), “panelle” (chickpea flour fritters), 'le crocché' (potato-based), “le arancine” stuffed with meat or butter (stuffed rice balls), caponata (a sweet and sour dish of fried aubergines, olives, capers, onions and celery), are sweetened by the luxury of 'cannolo' (wafer filled with ricotta cream).

Travelling along mountain roads, we will reach one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Petralia Soprana, and tour the medieval stone village with its characteristic narrow streets, churches and noble palaces. Petralia Soprana is the highest village in the Madonie mountains, dominating a vast landscape with views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Etna. The adventure continues at an altitude of 1,500 metres towards the village of Piano Battaglia, located in the heart of the Madonie massif, in a landscape and environment of great value.
