Mare Festival Premio Troisi XII Edition: 3 days of cinema and emotions in Salina

Salinawith its enchanting charm and history linked to the legendary Neapolitan actor Massimo Troisiis preparing to welcome back cinema fans and big names from the Italian art scene for the 12th edition of the Mare Festival Premio Troisi. The event, which will take place from 16 to 18 June in the municipality of Malfa, was conceived in 2012 by journalists Massimiliano Cavalerialso artistic director, and Patrizia Casaleand is a heartfelt tribute to the artist who died prematurely.
The Mare Festival is an open event, everyone will be able to participate, and during the three days, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of films, documentaries, shorts, moments of spectacle and entertainment, cultural focuses and debates on topical issues, book presentations, award ceremonies, and space for emerging young people in the Piazza Immacolata of the Malfa Town Hall, the Congress Centre, and some privileged locations such as the Hotel Ravesi, which at sunset become particularly evocative settings for meetings with artists, journalists, institutional representatives, and authorities.
The Godmother of the Festival
The godmother of the festival will be Maria Grazia Cucinotta, the interpreter of the famous film "Il Postino" nominated for five Academy Awards. The presence of one of the best-loved actresses on the Italian film scene will help consolidate the prestige of the Troisi Award thanks to her charisma, beauty and Mediterranean soul.
The Protagonists of the Kermesse

Since its foundation, the Festival has hosted and awarded the Troisi Prize to 83 illustrious names of national and international cinema, recognising their talent and contribution to the art of filmmaking.
