Itineraries in Pantelleria

1) Pantelleria

The black pearl of the Mediterranean today, more simply Pantelleria is the largest island of the Sicilian Minor Islands, closer to the African Continent than to Sicily!
Pantelleria is an Island of Volcanic origin covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation, among whose plants are the vines from which the famous Passito di Pantelleria, a wine known throughout the world, is made.
The Pantelleria Sea is always transparent and rich in marine life, and many seaside resorts can be reached on foot.
Cala Levante is one of the most popular locations for tourists because of the presence of the Faraglione di Tracino and the Arco dell'Elefante: two of Pantelleria's most iconic sites.
Near the Punta Spadillo lighthouse is the Siren Pond, a small natural lake that regenerates with water when the rough sea breaks against the rocks.
Pantelleria's interior has exceptional mountainous features, the highest peak being the Montagna Grande, from which you can get a wonderful panoramic view of the entire island.
Starting from the northern part of the island, one can reach Pantelleria's most magical place: the Lake of Venus.
The Lake is fed by hot springs and takes on incredible shades of color: very clear in the center and dark on the sides due to the presence of thermal mud, according to the ancients it was here that Venus prepared herself before meeting with Bacchus, God of wine.
