Menfi is the Italian city of Wine 2023

The town of Menfi, in the province of Agrigento, is situated in an enviable position between the hills and the sea, in an area with a strong agricultural vocation. Wine is one of the main productive activities of the area: the vineyards that reach from the hill to the coast cover over 6000 hectares, Menfi has one of the largest vineyards in Europe. Memphis has won the important title of Italian City of Wine 2023, in fact, it will be the municipality of Agrigento to host the event! The decision was made by the commission, which declared: "Menfi has imposed himself on the other candidates as he proposes initiatives that range widely in the various areas of wine culture."Menfi becomes the third Italian City of Wine since the establishment of this annual event created in 2020 by the Association Città del Vino.
